Efficient offboarding is essential for ensuring that assets are securely returned and documented. At Workwize, we streamline the offboarding process to ensure your assets are handled with care and accuracy.
Offboarding as an admin
The Admin initiates the offboarding process by selecting the asset(s) to be offboarded.
Workwize receives the offboarding request and checks for offboarded assets that were bought outside the Workwize platform, requesting additional details from the admin if needed.
Workwize sends a personalised email to the offboarded employee, which includes a form to provide necessary details:
- Personal email
- Collection method (pick-up or drop-off)
- Packaging needs
- Missing or damaged assets
- Confirm address details
Admins can initiate offboardings for any employee through the employee's designated “Employee Management” section in the Workwize platform.

Further handling of the offboarding request
1. Employee Confirmation
The employee receives the form and confirms their details. If the employee does not confirm their details, Workwize follows up with the employee and admin up to six times via calls, SMS, and emails over a course of 10 business days before failing the offboarding.
2. Shipping
If the employee has confirmed their details, Workwize sends packaging to the employee and provides a track & trace link (not available for all shipments).
Depending on the collection method:
- Drop-off: The employee drops off the asset(s) at a courier drop-off point.
- Pick-up: Workwize sends an email to schedule the pick-up date and time. The asset(s) are then picked up from the employee's address.
3. Warehouse Processing
The asset(s) are shipped to the destination (warehouse or office). Upon arrival at the warehouse, the items are physically inspected, and if requested, a wipe-up is performed.
The warehouse books in the assets and completes the offboarding process.
4. Completion and Documentation
The offboarded assets are received at the warehouse or office, and the offboarding is marked as completed.
